City Profile
The Quad-Cities (Davenport, Rock Island, Moline and Bettendorf) has a population of 400,000 and are located on the Mississippi River. Outdoor activities are numerous, as are the community events during the spring, summer and fall. There are professional baseball and hockey teams, as well as nationally recognized concerts and performances at the i-wireless Center. Three large museums, as well as a zoo, are located here. The area has excellent school systems on both sides of the river, and local colleges and a university for higher education are also available. Convenient shopping and dining are easily accessible throughout the community. We are three hours from both Chicago and Des Moines, five hours from both St. Louis and Minneapolis. The Quad City International Airport is also a great way to get out of town.
What Sets This Program Apart
We are a community-based hospital with strong osteopathic roots and history. We are not dually accredited, and we have the only unopposed osteopathic family practice residency in the state of Iowa. Our focus has been on medical education for over 50 years.
