How do I apply? The preferred method to apply for open positions at Trinity is to complete an online application. Applications are reviewed daily by the Human Resource department and forwarded to the appropriate manager(s) for their review. View current employment opportunities and/or apply online.
What positions do you have available for nursing students? Patient Care Technicians at the Quad-Cities Campuses and Patient Care Assistants at Muscatine Campus provide basic care and non-technical services for patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Trinity's Quad-Cities campuses require that Patient Care Technicians be a Certified Nursing Assistant with active status on any state registry. For Trinity Muscatine, Patient Care Assistants must be registered CNAs in Iowa. These positions allow CNA nursing students to gain experience in the hospital setting at the patients' bedsides.
Do you hire new graduates? Yes. RN licensure must be obtained prior to the graduate starting in his/her position in this state. New graduates are encouraged to apply for positions prior to receiving licensure.
How long are nursing orientations? Orientation for RNs is specific to the individual’s needs and area in which they have been hired. New graduate RN orientation typically ranges from six to 12 weeks, but can be longer in certain specialty areas.

Benefits are available at a full-time premium for those employees that are a 0.8 FTE (four shifts per week) or above.

What is Trinity’s nursing license policy? As the first bi-state Magnet hospital, Trinity wants to be a leader in all aspects of patient care. We have a duty to ensure a versatile work force is available to our patients and families. Achieving dual licensure status for registered nurses will allow for maximum flexibility in responding to patient care demands and assuring appropriate staffing during high demand periods. Maintenance of the nursing license in the primary work state will remain the responsibility of the employee. Trinity will cover the initial license as well as the on-going renewal costs of the secondary license. For example, if you primarily work at an Illinois campus, the Illinois license is your responsibility and Trinity will financially support the Iowa (secondary work state) license and vice versa.
