Access Center
The Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health's Access Center is located at the Riverside entrance on the North end of Trinity Rock Island, located at 2701 17th St., Rock Island. The Access Center is to here to provide a convenient, centralized point of contact for those needing to access RYC's array of mental health and substance abuse services. Those referred for an evaluation will be seen within 72 hours of initial contact by a Robert Young clinician, who will then determine the patient's next appropriate level of care based on their presenting needs. The clinician also will set the patient's first appointment for them.

The Access Center will be open for appointments 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Crisis care still is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During business hours, those needing crisis care should utilize the Access Center rather than the emergency room, unless medically necessary. After hours and on weekends, crisis care must be obtained through the emergency room.
The Robert Young Center, formed in 1968, was the first comprehensive and hospital-based community mental health center in Illinois. The center offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services tailored to individual patient's needs for mental health and substance abuse treatment. Robert Young Center's Crisis Line, awarded certification by the American Association of Suicidology, provides 24-hour, seven-days-a-week access to confidential, professional help.
