Adult Inpatient Services
The Adult Services treatment philosophy is to provide short-term care and mental health treatment to the seriously stressed individual. Treatment is coordinated with other Robert Young Center and community agency programs, to ensure the most collaborative and tactical approach to recovery is taken.
Services provided are based on the patients environment, or milieu therapy, in conjunction with crisis intervention, reality testing, safety, and symptom relief. In addition to psychiatric nursing and individual therapy, the following treatment modalities are offered in the inpatient setting:
- Teaching everyday living skills
- Stress management
- Problem identification
- Communication
- Parenting skills
- Healthy relationship identification
