Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program
The Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program, a group based system that operates Monday through Friday, offers both morning and evening programs to accommodate all work schedules. The goal of this program is to help clients learn how to lead healthy, sober lifestyles without the use of mood-altering substances.
The program is multi-dimensional and includes education about chemical dependency, social rehabilitation, and relapse prevention, and an introduction to Alcoholics Anonymous' 12-step philosophy, which is provided separately for men and women. Programming is offered to provide education and group counseling that is specific to an individual's substance abuse addiction needs. Every person in the program participates in at least one individual counseling session per week.
The recommendation for either residential services or intensive outpatient treatment is based on an assessment of the individual's substance abuse patterns, living and social support situation and his/her ability to function in an intensive group in a highly structured environment.
Riverside works with employers, managed-care companies, employee assistance programs and other referral sources to coordinate discharge planning.
